David Devine, Cannondale’s global road product director explains: “With the CAAD13, we focused on elements that really improve the ride, namely drag reduction, comfort and wide-ranging capability, while not increasing the weight.” Cannondale says it has achieved improvements in comfort and overall ride quality over the CAAD12 (a previous BikeRadar Bike of the Year winner and a bike that has always impressed us in whatever spec was tested) by a combination of dropped seatstays and the KNØT seatpost — taken from the EVO. It claims that this combination doubles the compliance of this frame over the CAAD12, and that the myth that carbon fibre has a comfort advantage over aluminium is now over. The Lefty is a one legged, upside down suspension "fork" made by Cannondale. Through its 8 iterations, the Lefty has sported up to 160mm of travel, but in recent years has remained for XC only. The Lefty "Ocho" featured in the video has 110mm of travel and is designed specifically for cross country. Some people won't even call the Lefty a "fork" since it looks more like a strut. But the Lefty competes toe to toe with other high end XC forks on the trail due to its stiffness and smooth operation. Despite its cost, difficulty of service, and proprietary parts, the Lefty is cool and unique enough to still exist. I would consider building a custom XC bike just to rock one. This is the latest version of Cannondale’sTopstone Carbon gravel bike, now featuring updated geometry and new suspension. According to Cannondale, the new Topstone “begs its rider for new challenges.” And you have to admit, it’s a radical looking machine. На первый взгляд серия велосипедов Cannondale SE and Cannondale SL одинаковы, но на самом деле в них разное всё! Reach, Stack, углы рулевых, углы подседельных труб и колесная база велосипеда! И по поведению на трассе они абсолютно разные! Можно предположить что вернулась линейка Trail Sl выпускаемая до 2013го года. Но это не так. От него осталось только название! Это абсолютно новые велосипеды, не только визуально, но и по геометрическим параметрам! И мы ТЕБЕЕЗДА попытались разобраться в условиях зимней езды, для чего был создан каждый велосипед! Немного предыстории! В 2021 году компания Cannondale полностью переработала линейку Trail и добавила в неё обновленный Trail SL and Trail SE. По заявлению производителя при проектировании они использовали весь опыт работы с алюминием, а так же использовали наработки геометрии рам Cannondale Scalpel, Cannondale Fs-i при проектировании Cannondale SL. А при разработке Cannondale Trail SE использовались наработки геометрии рам Cannondale Jekyll и Cannondale Habbit. Звучит интересно. Но так ли это? The crew at Backcountry Finale – a mountain bike shuttle service operation based in Finale Ligure on Italy’s northwestern coast – had the bones of a plan in place: ride from their home base to Livigno, about 500km north, and do it all on mountain bikes. Cannondale couldn’t resist being part of the experience. This quest genuinely lived up to the term “epic” as the group crossed valleys, rivers, multiple alpine passes, and traversed ancient trails around abandoned mountain villages whose only remaining residents were dust and deer.
